As the longest running Christmas home tour in the state, The Gift of Home Tour marks the start of Longmont's Christmas season. With more than 1,500 attendees in 2016, we expect a bigger tour in 2017!  

The Gift of Home Tour is a benefit for Longmont Meals on Wheels. Longmont Meals on Wheels has a tradition in Longmont almost as long as the Home Tour itself. The agency prepares and delivers meals to seniors, people with disabilities and people returning from a hospital stay, having served 107,607 meals last year. But the agency is more than a meal, offering a wellness check and a daily point of contact for some of Longmont's most isolated individuals. Providing a midday meal and a wellness check allow individuals to remain in their home, experiencing the gift of home for as long as they can.

The self-guided tour will feature four homes ranging from old to new, and smaller to larger. Homes will be dressed up for the holidays by decorators and decor stores. The homes will feature decorating ideas for all with many items for sale.

The Gift of Home Tour will host a VIP Night 5p.m.- 9p.m on Thursday, November 30. Tickets ($40 each) include a meal at 1 of 5 local restaurants of your choice, featuring a Gift of Home menu. Reservations are required at the restaurant and begin at 4:30. You may tour the homes Thursday evening, during the preview hours, or during the general admission hours. A luncheon on Friday or Saturday is also included. VIP tickets will be mailed to you.

The general admission hours are 10a.m.- 7p.m. on Friday, December 1 and 9a.m. 3p.m. on Saturday, December 2. The $20 ticket ($25 at the door) includes a luncheon, also served on Friday and Saturday by Longmont Meals on Wheels in its cafe at the Longmont Senior Center. Tickets can be mailed to you, printed at home or delivered electronically for your mobile device.

Tickets are also available at Longmont Meals on Wheels, Longmont's Ace Hardware, Longmont's Woodley's Fine Furniture, Front Range Mercantile, Niwot Market, Danish Furniture and Snyder Jewlers.

Online tickets are no longer available. General admission tickets will be available at the door for $25. VIP tickets can be purchased at walk-up locations until Monday, Nov 26, but are not available for purchase after that.
