ABOUT ROOTS OF RESILIENCE
Formerly Pacific Northwest Center for Holistic Management and part of the Savory Network, Roots of Resilience is part of a global network of organizations created to promote the large-scale restoration of the worlds grasslands.  The process we use to make management decisions regarding our land and animals is Holistic Management. Healing the planet is not just about land and livestock. Its also about building capacity and empowering people to make sound decisions that benefit the triple bottom line  humans, economics, and the environment  now and for future generations. Roots of Resilience, formerly the Pacific Northwest Center for Holistic Management (PNCHM) is the product of the collaborative effort of Managing Change Northwest, the Savory Institute, ranchers, farmers, university and extension educators, as well as other sustainability activists.
Holistic Management is a framework for making decisions that helps us to deal with the complexities of humans, the environment, and finances. It was developed by Allan Savory in the former Rhodesia  now Zimbabwe.
Roots of Resilience  The Pacific Northwest Center for Holistic Management promotes restoration of the worlds grasslands through Holistic Management. We work to:
1.Heal the land by use of properly managed livestock to sequester carbon, improve watershed health, help farmers/ranchers be more successful and create healthier ecosystems.
2.Provide consulting, offer facilitation services and teach how to create environmental, economic and social benefits
3.Conduct research, facilitate development of sound policies, create market incentives and raise public awareness to promote successful large-scale change
