Dedicated Endeavors Washington DC 2017
We all deal with anxiety, stress, and adversity in our lives. No one is bulletproof and the effects are widespread and differ from person to person. Dedicated Endeavors is a platform to raise awareness about the daily effects of living with post-traumatic stress and anxiety. This platform allows everyone affected, either directly or indirectly, to share their experiences in an effort to mitigate stipulations surrounding the effects of these triggers in our lives. We strive to raise funds to assist those affected by the daily struggles associated with post-traumatic stress and anxiety disorders. Our efforts focus on honoring loved ones lost to these struggles while providing a support system to those currently struggling. We are dedicated to this mission, to raise awareness and prevention through active engagement with the community. We focus on healthy, active ways to cope with our struggles and provide the tools and resources needed to address each individuals fight. With Dedicated Endeavors, there will always be a shoulder; an ear; and a hand to reach for support.
We want to have fun, but safety is a priority. Be sure you are comfortable with the weight you carry for the entire march. We might not always be on a designed walking route and traffic might be present. Be sure to bring plenty of water or sports drinks and snacks. We tried to plan stops and bathroom breaks into the route, but we are working to keep everyone together in order to complete our distance so stops might not be frequent.
The start point will be the Air Force Memorial located at 1 Air Force Memorial Drive, Arlington VA. The event will begin at 8am. Both Pentagon, Pentagon City metro stops are near by. There is public parking available at Pentagon City Mall. We will be ending the march at the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial at the Pentagon. The end point is located by two metros - the Pentagon and Pentagon City. There is also paid public parking available across the street from the memorial at the Fashion Center at Pentagon City.
