Raise the Stage Dinner and Concert
Join the Friends of DCC for a chicken dinner, no host beer and wine bar, and great contemporary folk music at the beautiful Kokopelli Gardens in Duvall. The fundraising dinner and concert with Reggie Garrett & The Snake Oil Peddlers and Cool Water will help buy a new stage for SummmerStage and other community events. This will be a fun night!
Based in Seattle, Reggie Garrett performs a mix of original songs, pop covers, and traditional style folk ballads throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has a unique urban strain of acoustic music with strong rhythmic underpinnings that blends a number of influences, including folk, Latin rhythms, blues, gospel, Celtic, rock, and Jazz. He has been compared to acoustic legends Richie Havens and Bill Withers by the national folk publication Dirty Linen.
Cool Water (Brooke Pennock and Wendy McDowell) are two experienced singer/songwriters who are lifelong friends that share a love of songwriting and Americana roots rock. Their songs contain original slice-of-life lyrics paired with a pop sensibility and soulful layered harmonies. Cool Water is often compared to the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge. Brooke and Wendy have played at Sandblast and toured locally and nationally.
Ages 21 and over. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Please carpool when possible as parking is limited. Concert will be seated, no pets or outside alcohol. Presented by CPAC/Friends of Duvall Cultural Commission.
