Couldn't make it to Ian Maksin's sold out performance at the Roerich Museum? No problem! Take this unique opportunity to hear Ian and even share a glass of wine with him after the performance at our intimate salon. He will be performing music from his new album ZARIA: songs in nine different languages including Russian, Belarusian, Macedonian, Yiddish, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, as well as Ladino - the ancient languages of the Sephardic Jews. Also music from Georgia, Armenia, Iran as well as Maksin's own compositions infused with flavors of Argentine Tango, Flamenco Arabe, Balkan and Slavic pagan music. Ian Maksin will be joined by leading NYC artists Brian Prunka - guitar, oud, and Rich Stein - percussion. Portion of the proceeds from both the admission and CD sales will be donated to PALMS OF HOPE FOUNDATION.

IAN MAKSIN is a Russian-born, Chicago-based cellist composer and multi-lingual instrumentalist who has created his own unique style by mixing many genres and styles together. He has performed with such artists as Sting, Andrea Bocelli and Gloria Estefan.
