Chuck Raineys bass lines have laid the foundation for many of the most popular songs in pop, rock, jazz and fusion that emerged from the 60s and 70s. From Aretha Franklin to Marvin Gaye to Steely Dan, hes played an integral part in the music of at least five Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductees. "Stories behind the songs" In this up close and personal session, Chuck Rainey will share selected stories behind some of the most famous and interesting tunes hes played on throughout his long and illustrious career. From what it was like to record the Steely Dan Aja album to working with Aretha Franklin on Young, Black, and Gifted, Chuck will provide a behind the scene look at some of Americas greatest hits. He will also explain his approach to the grooves he laid down behind these songs, demonstrating his technique for the audience.
