Rock For Melanie

Baby Melanie was diagnosed with a rare disease that requires a Liver Transplant. Rock for Melanie is a fundraiser event that will feature Slick Shoes and Go Betty Go, with True Rivals and Fozzy's Hero. This Event is 21+, photo ID required. No exceptions!

Baby Melanie has been diagnosed at the tender age of 2 months with the rare end stage liver disease known as Biliary Atresia. We were told that without surgical intervention, very few babies with this disease live past their second birthday. She immediately underwent surgery to try and save her liver. Unfortunately, the surgery was unsuccessful and Melanie suffered liver failure a few days ago, causing fluid to build up in her abdomen which put pressure on her stomach and lungs. She is now in critical condition at the pediatric intensive care unit of Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, where she has been sedated and intubated since she is unable to eat or breathe on her own. At this point her only chance of survival is to receive a liver tranplant. She has been placed on the donor list but there is no guarantee a donor will be found in time. We are now reaching out to friends, family, and even complete strangers in the hopes of finding someone with a compatible liver willing to donate a small part of it to save our little girl's life.

Along with a procedure of this caliber comes the financial strain,
4 Southern California Bands (Slick Shoes, Go Betty Go, True Rivals, Fozzy's Hero) have generously agreed to be part of this event where all proceeds go to funding Melanies surgery and the treatment that follows.
