As Californias newest and most engaging brass ensemble, Phantom Brass is a collaboration of seven young musicians hailing from schools and performing ensembles across the United States. In the fall of 2017, Phantom Brass is bringing their debut tour, The New Americana- a fully memorized, choreographed, and humor-infused show- to southern california, while rearranging and reimagining traditional American folk, spiritual, jazz, and pop tunes.
Phantom Brass is committed to energizing and inspiring the next generation of musicians and music lovers through their wide array of offered workshops, dedicated masterclasses, and co-performance opportunities with local middle and high school music programs.
Along with extensive educational and teaching backgrounds that reach into both into the classroom and the Drum Corps International and Winterguard International World, members of Phantom Brass have had the opportunity to perform with diverse ensembles and world class musicians such as the San Diego Symphony, Blast!, Disneyland Band, Glee, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, Palisades Symphony, Southern California Brass Consortium, Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra, American Youth Symphony, Placido Domingo, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Gaslamp Quarter Jazz Orchestra, Shockwave, Cyberjam, Music in eXtreme, Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, SeaWorlds SeaStreet Band and Christmastown Horns, Busch Gardens, The Chameleons Band at The World Famous San Diego Zoo, True Brass Choir, The Voice, and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
