Memorial Day Dance Party: Funk Fusion Jazz Jamboree

Earth Sky Time Farm is thrilled to present an all ages Memorial Day weekend dance party featuring The Bulldog Alley Alley Cats, Moose Crossing, and Blueberry Buckle. This event in rain or shine and will be held in our big beautiful barn.

We're loading up our wood-fired pizza oven, located inside of a double decker school bus, to serve pies made with our sourdough crust and fresh farm ingredients.

ABOUT THE LIVE BANDS:

BULLDOG ALLEY ALLEY CATS: Formed in dark subterranean practice spaces and off-campus houses near Georgetown University, The Bulldog Alley Alley Cats have built a strong following at backyard shows, jazz venues, and night clubs in the Washington, D.C. area. They're bringing their high energy sound all the way to the Green Mountains to headline this show! The Alley Cats are a 6 piece funk fusion orchestra who boast an interesting catalog of both originals and innovative, funk-heavy takes on jazz standards. Their bass-driven, rhythmic approach to ensemble playing recalls the complex interlocking sound of bands like Snarky Puppy and Vulfpeck. These cats will have you on your feet, booty shaking and head bobbing. They're not to be missed.

MOOSE CROSSING: Zak Hampton on sax, Tim Duch on piano, and Johnny Reiter on the bass: Whether they're keeping the party going all night with a touch of class at a private catered event, or entertaining the local community in establishments on Main Streets across the state, MOOSE CROSSING is the go-to group for the jazz connoisseur looking for classics from Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra, to Miles Davis and John Coltrane, and hard driving funk tunes from Josef Zawinul to Herbie Hancock. Moose Crossing was established in 2011 and is based out of Poultney Vermont.

BLUEBERRY BUCKLE: Local family band Blueberry Buckle plays interesting takes on pop and rock featuring daughter on 5 string electric violin and drums, and dad on guitar or bass!
