Farmer to Table at Cook St Paul: Dinner #2

This dinner series will highlight one local farmer/farms products in every course of a prix fix meal. We will also have one table (that seats up to 7 people) reserved for the farmers to bring whomever they choose to dine with us, on the house. We want to show our appreciation for the people that churn the butter, sew the seeds, raise the livestock, gather the eggs, and put all the work into providing the amazing local ingredients we use to make our food what it is. And, we want the people that appreciate what these farmers do to be able to let them know that in person.

The meal will be created and prepared by Cook St Paul's chef Mitch Robbie. It will be a multi course meal, where every course highlights the versatility and high quality of Peterson Craftsman Meats.

Here is a little information about the great people we are featuring at this dinner:

Our passion is to raise and harvest high quality meats with integrity. We believe in treating our local, heritage-bred livestock humanely and as nature intended. Our family has farmed in the St. Croix Valley for 4 generations. The land has blessed us with a plentiful bounty that we wish to share with you.

If you have eaten at any of the top restaurants in the twin cites, and you like beef, chances are you have eaten some Peterson beef and/or pork. They have a reputation for being one of (if not the) top beef providers in the midwest, and they are realy great people too!

For this event we will be teaming up with Able Brewing and Seedhouse, located in MPLS for an optional Beer Pairing!

Here is some info about Able:

Able Seedhouse + Brewery is focused on locally grown seed, grain, malting and brewing. We make beer that comes from special places. Its our goal to take those amazing ingredients and take advantage of their fullest potential.
Then we put that potential in a glass.

If you would like to purchase a beer pairing, you can choose to purchase a ticket for the pairing when you purchase your meal ticket - must be at least 21 yrs old to get the Beer pairing.

We are also pairing up with Caydence Records & Coffee on Payne ave to curate a playlist to accompany the dining experience. Here is a little bit about Caydence:

Caydence records and coffee, established October 2016. Is a new Eastside St. Paul specialty coffee shop meets record store. Eclectic new and used music media, classic and whimsical coffee drinks pastries and treats. Caydence hopes to be a Saint Paul pillar for arts, where our neighborhood can come together and enjoy each other's company.

As this dinner event continues, we will continue to evolve it in every way possible to enhance the dining experience, and involve as many members of our community and industry that we believe deserve to be highlighted.
