Using the Four Elements as a template for Balance and Wellness, Food by Design, along with some of our amazing community partners and staff, invite you to grow in your knowledge of sowing, growing and enjoying vibrant physical and ecological health as individuals and as communities.
Presenters will be providing hands on education on a variety of topics including: *The importance of pollinators to our ecology *Permaculture and the importance of healthy soil *Water conservation and the value of clean river systems *The importance of gut health and your microbiome *Nutrition and healing for metabolic and hormone health *Aromatherapy for supporting the respiratory system and allergy management *Urban Farm skills and immense value of locally grown food systems
We are also excited to introduce our keynote speaker,John Kallas.John holds a Doctorate in nutrition, a Masters in education, and degrees in biology and zoology. He's a trained botanist, nature photographer, writer, researcher, and teacher. He will be joining us to share his immense knowledge, experience and passion on the topic of Wildcrafted foods and the many potential impacts wild edibles have on health and sustainable food systems.
