is honored to present a series of workshops in Bharatanatyam in Manhattan by Sri K. Mohanan, Professor, Kalakshetra Foundation, India
Beginners: (ages 6-12): May 31 (6-6:45 pm), June 1 and 2 (5-5:45 pm), June 3 (2-2:45pm)
(adults): May 31 (6:45-7:30 pm), June 1 and 2 (5:45-6:30 pm), June 3 (2:45-3:30pm)
Advanced: (6 years or more of instruction): May 31(7:30-9 pm), June 1, 2 (6:30-8 pm) and June 3 (3:30pm-5pm)
Location: May 31 to June 2 - Lucid Body House (230 Lexington Ave)
June 3 - Cap21 Studios (18 W. 18 St, 6th Floor)
Registration: (before May 15) Beginner: (4 sessions) - $45 per session, $150 all sessions
Advanced: (4, 1 1/2 hour sessions, learn one piece) - $350 total

PROFESSOR MOHANAN - BIO
Presently a Professor at Kalakshetra Foundation, Professor Mohanan's high standards and passion have led him to collaborate with legendary artists like Dr. Yamini Krishnamurthy, Lakshmi Viswanathan and Sri. M. Balamuralikrishna to name a few. From 1985 to 1991, Sri. K. Mohanan trained in Bharatanatyam and nattuvangam at the world renowned Kalakshetra. After completing his studies there, Professor Mohanan has continued teaching dance and lecturing . He has travelled widely, performing and teaching in more than 22 countries including the UK, U.S.A, Japan, Mauritius, Middle-East and Europe. A National Merit Scholarship winner for Bharatanatyam and Nattuvangam, Sri. K. Mohanan has also won many awards including Natyakalaimani and Nrityakalaivanan to name a few.
