THE MONOCLE was developed in Sept 2015 by the Bacchus Entertainment Group to provide the St. Louis region with a shaking little speakeasy ripe with engaging entertainment, delicious cocktails, and fascinating company! Adding to the fun is the Emerald Room,  a vintage-inspired intimate entertainment venue located in the back of the Monocle.

The drink menu is uniquely designed for The Grove and changes seasonally. General Manager Laura Coppinger, better know as local musical comedian Mimi Le Uke, developed our current menu to reflect a local selection of beers, a growing selection of wines, both by the glass & bottle, and a diverse boozy floozy cocktail menu. We have something everyone can enjoy! The bartenders are committed to quality, using only the freshest cocktail ingredients & expertly sourced liquors, in creating exciting cocktails for the novice to the experienced drinker. Our menu is always growing and changing so stay tuned for changes.

The Emerald Room was the vision of co-owner Kyle Hustedt, Producer of the Chicago Cabaret Project. With its rich decor, the Emerald Room oozes vintage fun. The Emerald Room welcomes a variety of shows including cabaret, comedy, burlesque, drag, variety, and more! Check out the Emerald Room calendar for show information and ticketing.

The Monocle is an all-inclusive classy dive bar. We strive to create a welcoming space for all walks of life because diversity is what makes life great and offers the best stories. Whether you are coming in for cozy conversations and coloring at the bar, an engaging show in the Emerald Room, or a wild night of boozy floozy fun, we've got something for everyone.  Come for a drink...stay for the show!
