How to Speak Finance FOR ARTISTS!!!
The number one barrier between the arts and finance is a language barrier! Just like your accountant isnt taught what stage right means, you arent taught the difference between an IRA and a Roth IRA.
I want to teach you to speak personal finance in a way that makes sense to you! In this workshop we will cover everything from how APR works to the difference between stocks and bonds and beyond. You will leave feeling comfortable enough with the language of finance to speak with power to your accountant, financial advisor or investors for your show! (And a glossary for future reference!)
Wine, cheese and theatre games included.
Bailie Slevin was a stage manager for 8 years and has been financial advisor the last 11 years. She has spoken about financial literacy at Yale Opera MFA program, Columbus University MFA Program, Pace University Pre-College Program, Theatre Resources Unlimited, 1st Annual Piano Summit, Arts Asylum, University of Central Florida Undergrad, Primary Stages and others. She is the owner of Entertaining Finance, a company committed to being a financial resource for everyone in the arts.
