Five brewers from 4 different breweries, 5 different beers, and your millions of taste buds.
Experience a tasting panel with 5 brewers, Tony Luciano, Tonya Cornett, Jen Tadder, Ian Larkin and Eric Jorgensen and an ale each of their own choosing. Each brewer will share their insights into designing and judging their chosen beer. After the tasting session, the floor will be opened to questions from the audience and an opportunity will be created to mingle with the brewers.
Wed, 26 April 2017 Tasting session at 6pm
Why are these 5 brewers going to be hanging out together?
Tony Luciano head brewer and owner at Stones Throw Brewery doesn't really like sour beer so he has invited some of the best in the business to come and collaborate and educate him. Tony reached into his pocket of experience and called upon;
Tonya Cornett, an award winning brewer from 10 Barrel Brewing. Tony worked under Tonya at Bend Brewing and has always looked up to her for creativity and outstanding brewery operations.
Ian Larkin, also with 10 Barrel. Ian and Tony home brewed together in Bend, OR. Ian has won several awards while brewing for Bend Brewing Company.
Eric Jorgensen, Whatcom County's Sour Master and Brewer at the North Fork. Eric and Tony's history date back to the late 1990's and he has a huge respect and is eager to gain knowledge by having Eric in this collaboration.
Jen Tadder, one of the lead brewers in the Women's Brew Day hosted at Stones Throw. Jen brings a passion like none other, and her experience brewing with Kulshan Brewery.
These Brewers will be visiting Stones Throw Brewery to celebrate and educate Tony in the world of sour beers. They will also work on collaborating a beer to be brewed during Bellingham Beer Week. Before they collaborate their beer, and educate Tony, they will be conducting a tasting panel at Stones Throw Brewery.
Space may be limited so come early and stay late.
This event will take place at Stones Throw Brewery Back Beer Garden & Fire pit: 1009 Larrabee Ave.
Dress warm and be prepared for typical Pacific Northwest weather as we will be outside.
