MedCity Mafia Roller Derby versus Sioux Falls Roller Dollz
For our home opener of the 2017 season, we're taking on Sioux Falls Roller Dollz! It's a WFTDA-sanctioned game and it counts towards our rankingz. So expect us to come out with skates blazing!
Our featured charity for our home opener is the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, an out-of-school program for kindergarten through grade 12 kids with specific education and health programming. Their mission is "to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring community members." The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is close to home for us because it is our home (our winter home practice space, that is)!
The amazing artist who designed our beautiful bout poster, Amarilys Henderson (@watercolordevo), a Rochester-based watercolor illustrator, will be displaying some of her artwork. So definitely make sure to stop by her table!
Doors open at 6; whistle blows at 7. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Seniors and kids ages 6-12 pay only $7/$8, and kids 5 and under get in for free!
And don't forget to join us after the game for one of our epic afterparties!
