Improve your life experience and health with meditation.

Stress pervades all aspects of life and is a leading cause of mental and physical health problems. Only the purposeful use of a deep relaxation technique will dissolve the most profound levels of stress accumulated from everyday life. Dissolving this strain releases the greatest energy, creativity, and intelligence of the individual. Recognized by the Mayo Clinic, meditation can greatly improve your health, while offering an improved sense of happiness and wellbeing.

This course explores the many medically proven benefits of this graceful, effective practice. Silent mantra meditation is the perfect vehicle for easy, natural stress reduction, with benefits including heart health, increased creativity, and mental clarity. Memory and learning improve in as little as eight weeks. Attendees will learn a variety of supportive techniques including breathing and sitting methods, visualization techniques and instruction on how to relax the mind and body in times of stress.

During this 4-session workshop, participants will be introduced to the research findings regarding meditations effects on the body and the mind. They will also engage in personal reflection to determine their current stress level and their future goals for living life to the fullest. As part of the workshop, participants will receive one-on-one instruction for learning the actual silent mantra meditation technique.  This one-on-one instruction will be arranged during the second weeks session on an individual basis.  The third and fourth session will allow for follow-up instruction, group meditations and visualizations.

Anyone who wants to reduce the deepest levels of stress

About the instructor:

Lisa Klein earned her doctorate from Duquesne University in 2008.  Her research focused on the effects of silent mantra meditation on teachers and their abilities to manage stress and perform at their highest level.   Findings indicated that meditation both helps teachers ability to handle the many stressful encounters of their profession and to develop their creativity and positivity in the classroom.

Lisa learned how to meditate as an undergraduate and knows first hand the short-term and long-term benefits of meditation on the mind and the body.  As a full-time working mother of two young children, Lisa uses meditation on a daily basis to help her stay healthy, focused, and performing at her highest level.  She has been teaching meditation for over 10 years and is excited to share with others how meditation is a real-life fountain of youth!
