The Anderson Center at Tower View is pleased to present a reading by two of the Midwests finest poets, Robert Hedin and former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser on Friday, June 9, at 7:30PM in the Center's historic barn. Kooser and Hedin are two of the most iconic Midwestern poets writing today, both of whom are known for their honest, plainspoken verse that captures the vanishing way of life of rural and small town America. However, even though both poets write of the rural Midwest, they are by no means regional poets, because the subjects they write about are arguably universal and address the human conditionsuch as, the quest for and appreciation of beauty where there may seem to be none, and the dignity with which people manage the struggles of daily life.
Seating is limited to 117.
