Louie's Kids 10th Anniversary Little Chef - Big Chef Dinner
Louies Kids is the nations oldest organization devoted to the treatment of pediatric and adolescent obesity that plague one in four American kids today. The support throughout the community towards Big Chef/Little Chef has grown over the years. Since its inception, this wellness based fundraiser has tripled in size and become one of the hottest tickets. In keeping with tradition, each child will be paired with a Big Chef to learn about healthy cooking and beyond. Louies Kids goal is to create a one-on-one experience between each chef and child.
This dinner will revolve around four children and four celebrated chefs. The chefs for this dinner will be:
Travis Grimes - Husk
Michelle Weaver - Charleston Grill
Jason Stanhope - FIG
Katy Keefe - McCrady's/McCrady's Tavern
Throughout this four course dinner, each child/chef team will present their dish to the guests. The purpose of this exercise is to educate the dinners about the decision for each course, why it's a healthy alternative and the simplicity of making healthy choices in their own home. Each child/chef team will be awarded a Louie's Kids cutting board to remind them of their accomplishments and efforts while sharing their knowledge of a healthy lifestyle.
