Plymouth Comedy Night May 17 Enjoy a show that uses stand-up comedy as a way to fight stigma in mental health. Get ready for a hilarious evening with David Granirer, founder of Stand Up for Mental Health,a program teaching stand-up comedy to people with mental health issues. Im OK But YOU Need Professional Help: Creating Recovery One Laugh At A Time! He is featured in the VOICE Award winning documentary Cracking Up.
Tonights show will open with Amy Tee who presents chemical-free comedy, taking self-help to hilarious new heights. Amy brings boyish charm and dry wit to her experiences with alcoholism, bi-polar disorder and, on the road to recovery. Her twisted dance between stereotypes and reality delivers comedy with stigma-busting honesty. " Not every crazy looks crazy! I feel alive. Im candid and exposed yet still fully clothed". Amy is identified as a rising star by the Boston Globe.
Tickets are $5.00 Doors will open at 6 and the show will start at 6:30.
