It's Tri-Cities Craft Beer Week March 31 - April 8 and Johnson City Brewing Company is excited to offer SIX unique and delicious opportunities for you to help celebrate craft beer in our region! With so many events happening this week, we have a little something special for those who choose to attend all of ours: The Season Pass! Saturday, April 1st, 1pm-4pm
Mario Kart Tournament at the Tap Room (FREE):
Twenty-one and older only event unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tournament limited to the first thirty-two people to sign up in JC Brewing Co's tap room or online. A list will be kept of alternates should any of the thirty-two be unable to compete. Craft beer will be available for purchase during the event. Cheering sections encouraged to attend! Trophy awarded to the winner!
Sunday, April 2nd, 11am-2pm
Southern Brunch by Taste Budz at the Tap Room ($28 per person):
Twenty-one and older only event. Casual, laid-back brunch at the taproom provided by long-time Downtown Eatery - Taste Budz! Full breakfast including eggs, meats, fruits, and pastries, as well as Sunday dinner comfort foods. Buffet style meal with two pints of craft beer included. We are bringing back two favorites just for this event: Mikey Likes It Oatmeal Breakfast Porter (cinnamon, apples, oatmeal goodness). And brunch just wouldn't be brunch without a Beermosa! Take our Perfect Tenn Blonde Ale and add a splash of OJ for just the right start to your day. Seating is limited so only 35 tickets available.
Tuesday, April 4th, 6pm-8:30pm
Blind Tasting and Pairing by JC Brewing Brewers and Chef James Allen from the Blackthorn Grille at the Tap Room ($20 per person):
Twenty-one and older only event. Think you know your beers? Think you know what it takes to match craft beer with craft food? Let us test you out with a blind beer tasting led by our brewers followed by a blind food pairing led by the Executive Chef at the Blackthorn Grille - the talented, Chef James Allen. $50 gift certificate to the first-place winner. $25 gift certificate to the second-place winner. JC Brewing t-shirt of their choice to the third-place winner. Seating is limited so only 30 tickets available.
Wednesday, April 5th, 6pm-9pm
Downtown Firkin Crawl ($20 per person):
Twenty-one and older only event. Join JC Brewing as we experiment with local produce and products from four local businesses! Basil Brown featuring Downtown Farming will be released at their establishment on Cherry St. Great sales and special products will be available to you that night from Downtown Farming. Mountain Berry Cream Ale will be released at OverMountain Outdoors on Market St. OverMountain will have product samples and special sale items just for you. Blue Oyster Mushroom Stout featuring Forest Grown from Chuckey, TN will be released at Campbell's Morrell Music on Market Street. Live music by Rhythm & The Roosevelts and special sales provided by Campbell's. Forest Grown will have fresh, local mushrooms for sale. Coffee Cream Ale featuring Don Garcia Coffee Company from Erwin will be released at The Local Company on Main St. Snacks and sales provided by The Local Company and Don Garcia will be there to answer questions and provide coffee for purchase. Look forward to a unique and flavorful firkin experience as you travel the streets of downtown and get to know some incredible local businesses. Event limited to 40 people. Thursday, April 6th, 6pm-7:30pm
JC Brewing's 2nd Annual Tug-of-War Tournament ($35 per team):
Sign up your team of five people to participate in the Second Annual Tug-of-War Tournament hosted by Johnson City Brewing Company and the Johnson City Cardinals! For $35 per team, you will receive an event participant t-shirt designed by Boomtown & Co, a pint of Johnson City Brewing Company beer, and, should your team place in the top three slots, a medal for each team member to take home for bragging purposes! Register your team at Johnson City Brewing Company or online. All teams will be allowed no more than THREE men on their team this is a coed event. Net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Johnson City Downtown Merchants Association to help fund the Little Chicago Downtown Music and Arts Festival. Your cheering section can attend the event at no charge - beer and food will be available for purchase. Event will be held at Cardinal Park. Look forward to laughter, competition, and great beer!
Friday, April 7th, 5pm-9pm (FREE)
It's a Mad Men Style Cocktail Party! Come dressed in your 50's Best and try out these SEVEN cocktail inspired craft brews available for purchase: Old Fashioned, Fuzzy Navel, Gin & Tonic, Washington Apple, Dirty Martini with Olives, Rum Runner, and Margarita. Try them all in flights or just grab a few pints. Get $1 off your first pint when you come styling your Mad Men best!
