Sonoma Family Camp at Venado Retreat
Sonoma Family Camp at Venado Retreat June 30-July 3rd, 2017 Ages 4 yrs-Adult
Looking for a long weekend summer getaway for the whole family? Want to spend quality time with the kids where you get a break as well?
Sonoma Weekend Family Camp at Venado is for YOU!
It's no accident that we all slow down, become more aware of our surroundings and feel a sense of contentment in nature. We created Sonoma Family Camp to offer an intergenerational experience that invites participants to step out of everyday habits and enjoy simple and often profound time spent in nature. This long weekend program of community, nature and arts will revive, surprise and rejuvenate both kids and adults. There is time in the schedule for families to engage together, as well as separate age-appropriate activities for both youth and adults. We'll engage the kids in fun activities in nature and theater while you rest, enjoy a massage, or go out wine tasting or bike riding in beautiful Sonoma County. But the fun doesn't stop there! We offer adult workshops in art, movement, voice and theater classes. As a family you can create family memories as we make s'mores and tell stories by the campfire, share spontaneous performances, compete in relay races, play improvisational theater games, make nature-based arts and crafts, hike and sing songs.
Enjoy Venado Retreat's secluded 33 acre property just 20 minutes West of the famed wine and food destination of Healdsburg, California. We are located just an hour 45 minutes from San Francisco and an hour and a half from Berkeley. Ideal for children ages 4 - 11, but we can accommodate your younger or older children.
