We the People: An Evening with the Ohio Constitution, Your Rights, Your Responsibilities Featuring Retired Ohio Supreme Court Justice the Honorable Judge Andy Douglas
Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The League of Women Voters of Toledo-Lucas County (LWV-TLC) and the Toledo Lucas County Public Library as a Community Service benefiting the Citizens of Lucas County are hosting "We the People: An Evening with the Ohio Constitution," to be held in the McMaster Center of the Main Branch of the Toledo Lucas County Library, located at 325 Michigan Street, Toledo 43604. The keynote address on the topic of the Ohio Constitution, Our Rights, Our Responsibilities will be given by Retired Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, the Honorable Judge Andy Douglas. Additionally, Lucas County area high school Government and Social Studies students will exhibit projects they created related to the Ohio Constitution.
A Silent Auction will take place to raise funds that enable LWV-TLC to continue their work to provide the public with such services as providing non-partisan information through the annual "Voters Guide", assisting communities to conduct candidate forums, and registering voters. Hors doeuvres and beverages will be served.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to encouraging active and informed participation of citizens in government, does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party.
