The Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium, whose mission is to produce the works of absurdist playwrights and authors from around the globe, once again turns to The Onion, Americas Finest News Source for its annual fundraiser for the 8th year running. Intimate LEtage Cabaret will host the event, celebrating the on-line weekly satirical news source known for its outrageous and absurd humor on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Raw Onion: Bumper Crop will have two performances at 6 pm and 8 pm.
Proceeds from the one-night only cabaret will support production costs for the IRCs proposed 2017 Philadelphia FringeArts Festival production Edward Albees The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? Raw Onion: Bumper Crop will have two performances at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Tickets are very limited for both performances.
The 70-minute cabaret-style consortium of commentary, performed by IRC cast and newcomers to the IRC stage including David Stanger, Tomas Dura, Sharon Geller, Bob Schmidt, Bonnie Grant, Jack Hoffman and Tina Brock. The show will be comprised of new material, including Ill Be Able to Get This Big Pot of Chili Over to My Friends House Quicker if I Put On My Roller Skates, I'll Tell You What I'd Do if I Were Gay, We Should Get That Guy Who Did the Half Assed Job on Our Roof, My Revenge Will Be Rushed and Unfulfilling, I Wasn't Going to Buy this Home Till I Saw the Realtor's Picture on the Lawn Sign and Stop Making Delicious Food I Can't Stop Eating And Go Back To Mexico.

2017 marks The Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortiums eleventh season presenting rarely-produced absurdist gems from playwrights from around the globe. Known for their humorous and thoughtful interpretations of seldom produced works, the IRCs most recent seasons have included critically-acclaimed sold-out productions of Romanian playwright Eugène Ionescos The Chairs and Jean Giraudouxs The Enchanted.
The IRC is a 501C3 non-profit organization, and a member of The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. The IRCs 2017 season is funded in part by generous grants from from Wyncote Foundation; The Philadelphia Cultural Fund; The Samuel S. Fels Fund; The Charlotte Cushman Foundation; The Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts program of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, with support also provided by PECO and administered regionally by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia.
