9th Annual Loving Civil Rights Award Dinner
Named for the couple that fought the ultimate form of housing discrimination when they were barred from living in Virginia because of their interracial marriage, the Connecticut Fair Housing Center's annual Mildred and Richard Loving Civil Rights Award honors civil rights leaders and thinkers, those who have worked to change the course of history, those who have challenged how history is written, and those who are making history today.
Join us May 4th for delicious food and drinks, entertainment, and inspiring words from this year's honorees. All proceeds benefit the Center's work to ensure that all people in Connecticut have equal access to the housing of their choice.
Tables of 10 are available - simply choose the quantity above. If you do not have all guest information for your table now, you can still purchase tickets - we'll contact you closer to the event to get the details!
*Please Note: Printed tickets are not required for this event. You will check in at the door.*
New York Times investigative journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones is the 2017 Loving Civil Rights Award recipient and keynote speaker. The Center will also recognize The Open Hearth and CT Students for a Dream with our 2017 Empowering Communities Awards. Our 2017 George and Patricia Ritter Pro Bono Award recipients will be Gordon & Rees, with a special in memoriam award recognizing the late David Elliott (Day Pitney).
