Listen to Your Mother Show: Baton Rouge
The mission of each LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER production is to take the audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates and validates mothering in all of its complexity, diversity, and humor. You will enjoy a 90 minute live-reading show highlighting the hilarities and heartache of motherhood.
LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER aims to support motherhood creatively through artistic expression, and also financiallythrough contributions to non-profit organizations supporting families in need.
Every year each LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER show chooses a cause and donates at least 10% of ticket proceeds to them. Since the first show in Madison in 2010, we have raised over $100,000 for charities serving women and children all over North America. This year we are overjoyed to announce Iris Domestic Violence Center as our local show cause. In the period between September 2015- August 2016, there were 55 domestic violence fatalities in the state of Louisiana. Baton Rouge has an invaluable resource in Iris and all of us at LTYM are so very thankful for the great work they do in our community.
