Learn how to create a beautiful, functional oak-prairie habitat close to home that is great for pollinators and supports long-term oak health.
The spring workshop will take place March 11, 9:30-12:30. Gain hands-on experience in how to prepare your site (weed management & prevention), map & design your "oak-scape."
Participants are invited to take an optional group trip to Camassia Nature Preserve in early May.
September 23, learn about planting, care, and habitat monitoring. 15 participants will receive native oak-prairie starts and have an option to join a wholesale order from a Willamette Valley grower.
$30 registration will cover both sessions.
Made possible by grants from East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District & The Nature Conservancy. Taught by Ted Labbe as a followup to the OakQuest citizen mapping project. https://www.fws.gov/oregonfwo/articles.cfm?id=149489529
