Rain City Slam 2017 Grand Slam with Paul Tran
On April 19th at Hales Palladium, nine of Seattle's top poets will face off in Rain City's annual Grand Slam Championship. This literary showdown will decide who represents Rain City Poetry Slam at the 2017 National Poetry Slam in Denver, CO. Poetic passion? Healing, humanity, and howling harangues? Daring declamations of derring-do? You'll see all that and more!

Featuring competing poets Ms. Mac, Maya Hersh, Ian Martinez, Roma Raye, Garfield Hillson, Chelsey Brown, Ray Stoeve, Ben Yisrael, and Elisa Chavez.

The 2017 Grand Slam is headlined by Paul Tran, a Pushcart Prize-nominated Vietnamese American poet. Tran's breathtaking work explores themes that include identity, intergenerational trauma, and sexual violence.

Meet us at Hale's for a night of amazing energy, community, and--of course--poetry.
