Since its creation 3 years ago, the Swish Ally Fund at The Stonewall Community Foundation has awarded $16,000 to 15 organizations - doubling its investment in 2016. This year, the Swish Ally Fund is supporting nonprofits that advocate and empower LGBT people of color and immigrants, young people, the homeless; and that fight for justice, dignity, equality, and security like North Carolina's hateful bathroom bill, gun control, marriage equality, and housing creation.
100% of the proceeds from the concert will benefit Swish and the Swish Ally Fund at the Stonewall Community Foundation who exist to engage straight allies in the fight for LGBTQ equality. This year's concert will honor the amazing work of these organizations:
Gays Against Guns NYC Anti-Violence Project FIERCE Ali Forney Center for the Bea Arthur House and teen transgender programs (presented by Marti Gould Cummings) Harlem Same Gender Loving/LGBTQ Center Youth OUTRight (North Carolina) True Colors Fund
