Cabaret Underground Celebrating Poetry and Jazz Heritage Month
Cabaret Underground celebrates Poetry & Jazz Heritage Month with a Tribute to Dr. Maya Angelou featuring few of her most popular poems and some others paired with music compositions & arrangements by John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Dr. Angelou and 3 original composition by Dr. Mwanza Furaha. All the poems in this theater production are sung with the exception of 'On The Pulse of Morning' (the poem written for President Clinton's Inaugration.
