            ~ Try Something New in 2017! ~

* For the timid who are brand new to watercolors!
* For current watercolor students wanting to continue!
* For those creating new pages for Image Journals!
* For my prior students focusing on individual projects!

            ~ Art Novices Welcome! ~

Are you a bit afraid of attempting watercolors? This relaxed evening workshop may be for you!

We will explore the fluid nature of watercolor by engaging smaller scale sketchbook-size projects. We will play with color harmonies, create lush "wet-on-wet" forms with soft washes, try transparent "glazes" that seem like stained glass, experiment with color charged background space, create miniature watercolor landscapes and seascapes, and learn to choose creative watercolor projects that bring out the best of your individual abilities and interests.

~ Special attention for the watercolor novice! ~

Supply information emailed after registration.

Prices: $150 for YAC members and $165 for non-members

Instructor: Constance Pierce has twice exhibited her sketchbooks at the National Museum of Women in the Arts ( DC ) and taught with the Smithsonian Art Studio (DC), Cleveland Art Institute (OH), Penland School (NC) and served as a University professor of drawing and painting in New York. She was a visiting artist at Millsaps and a research fellow at Yale Divinity School  (CT). Constance has exhibited in NY, DC, CT, OH, PA, MD, MS and most recently in Japan.
