The Vajra presents ~ The Fierce Heart: The Myth of the Shambhala Warrior with Amanda Moreno
The Fierce Heart: The Myth of the Shambhala Warrior

Honoring the heart and remaining compassionate can be difficult when living in a world that can seem so full of chaos and contradiction. Starting in January, Vajra Workshops will be hosting a monthly workshop in which we will discover Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects and other tools for remaining heart-centered in difficult times.

Come sit with community as we discuss the times we're living in and how we can understand compassion as a fire within us tempered by the coolness of wisdom and insight. We'll use experiential exercises to help us understand how gratitude can be a container for transformational times as we learn how to express and deal with our grief/overwhelm/anger/numbness for what is happening in the world, turning it into fuel for constructive action.

We'll explore ways to listen to the wisdom of the heart even as we grapple with what it means to live during a time of paradox and massive change at the personal and collective levels.

Come learn how to understand heart centered action as a tool for fierce personal and collective activism. Participants can expect to explore personal and collective issues within community and will leave with concrete action steps.

This workshop will borrow heavily from the teachings of Joanna Macy (http://www.joannamacy.net/) and The Work That Reconnects, which uses deep ecology, Buddhism, systems theory and spiritual thought from around the world in order to build motivation, creativity, courage and solidarity for the transition to a sustainable human civilization.

About the presenter: Amanda Moreno is an astrologer, soul worker and paradigm buster who believes that by doing the deep work of transforming consciousness, we are better able to navigate the challenges of our times.
