Electric Coffin: Future Machine
Future Machine offers a glimpse into the unique and multidisciplinary approach of Seattle-based design studio Electric Coffin. The studio has set up a creative laboratory in the museum and asked local thinkers and makers to join in the construction of a machine. The evolution of this apparatus will take place over the run of the exhibition, unfolding in the museum in five distinct phases: IDEA, FUEL, MECHANICS, ILLUMINATION, and FUTURE.

Using guns and ammunition, Al Farrow creates sculptures of reliquaries, cathedrals, synagogues, mosques, mausoleums, and other devotional objects. The surprising inventiveness and the technical tour-de-force of his craftsmanship are highlighted in Divine Ammunition, which features more than 20 works by the acclaimed artist.
