Between Us: The Secret Life of Edith Wharton
"Between Us: The Secret Life of Edith Wharton," written and performed by Jean Burton Walker and directed by Joseph Capone, is a riveting solo-show about a dazzling Belle-Epoque woman of great courage and compassion who flees the shackles of society. Through wickedly funny and heart-breaking flashbacks, Edith Wharton reveals her sexless marriage, her vibrator clinic confinement, her perfidious lover and how, through her understanding of the human heart, she became one of our most famous and cherished authors. Ms. Walker is a classical actress and member of AEA. She has appeared in numerous roles in NYC and regional theatres from Mrs. Alving in "Ghosts" to Mme. Ranyevskyia in "The Cherry Orchard."
