REAL LIFE TEST is an immersive, dance-theatre work which plunges audiences into the center of a dystopian world inspired by George Orwell's 1984. Exploring themes of governmental control, gender expression and the desire for self identification, the work questions whether an inherent price must be paid in order to achieve a fully integrated and equal society. Audiences are free to explore the highly detailed, sprawling world - encountering performers in group, duet and one-on-one scenarios.
REAL LIFE TEST is an indoor promenade performance lasting up to 2 1/2 hours. After admission, citizens initiate an individual experience and may stay inside the performance for as long as they wish. After the culminating moment, citizens may stay on at Charrington's Bar.
