Fishing for Love: Coming Out and Tackling It!!
Proudly Presented by Whitefire Theatre Solofest 2017, the largest one-person show festival on the West Coast!
Doors open at 7:45PM. Show begins at 8:00PM. "Fishing for Love: Coming Out and Tackling It!" is a 60 minute show with no intermission. After the show there will be a quick Q and A.
Street parking available on Ventura Blvd., Moorpark St., and Dixie Canyon Ave. Valet parking near the theatre at Boneyard Bistro (if you are eating or drinking there before or after the show) and Augustine Wine Bar. Be careful of No Parking after 6PM signs.
About the Show: Fishing for Love chronicles the journey of writer and perform Mariel Josette Mickens' trails, tribulations and triumphs of coming out as a lesbian to herself and others. She examines the impact of religion and faith while being brought up in the south. It's not just a LGBT show but also a show that explores the struggles of acceptance and understanding of ones self and all the craziness that goes along with discovering that.
