Late Night at National Sawdust
Late Night at National Sawdust is an exciting new concert format featuring open rehearsals of new music, a concert broadcast live on syndicated radio, and food, drinks and conversation.
The evening opens with a live reading of three new works chosen from over seven hundred submissions from around the world. We'll rehearse the pieces live giving you entry into the composer's creative process and the process of putting a piece of music together.
Then we'll take a short break and at 11:00 sharp we'll go live on the WFMT Radio network for a concert of works inspired by everything from Middle Eastern chant to the Mexican pyramids to the motion of jellyfish.
All the while enjoy food and drinks from Rider, National Sawdust's restaurant and stick around after the show to talk with the composers and performers.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear new music and a live radio broadcast in an intimate 100-seat theater.
