The King Cake Party
On Jan. 29, Aux Petits Soins will host a King Cake Party to start the New Year off with a little French flavor. This will be an authentic representation of a traditional French Epiphanie celebration, giving Lansing-area Francophiles a unique opportunity to experience a little genuine French culture. Its also an excuse to get together, eat authentic French desserts, and pick up a little French from some native French speakers not a bad way to start 2017, right?
Cost will be $10 per person in advance or $12 at the door; kids under 2 are free. Price includes king cake tastings and a glass of non-alcoholic sparkling cider or juice. There will also be a craft station where kids can make traditional paper crowns, a half-hour story time session and cooking class (registration required), spoken completely in French. Tickets can be purchased at Aux Petits Soins during open hours or online. For more information, please email info@apsfrenchclass.com.
The King Cake party will be the first monthly event of the new Aux Petits Soins Activities Calendar. Please save the dates for the next two the Chandeleur Party on Feb. 26 and the Carnaval Celebration on March 26.
