Dayaalu Concert Series presents...
Kirtan Sacred Chants of Love and Grace with Heather and Benjy Wertheimer as Shantala and special guests Steve Gorn, Bibi McGill and Jared May
Award-winning international artists Heather & Benjy Wertheimer as Shantala open hearts around the world with their soul-stirring vocals, sacred lyrics, exotic instrumentation, and sublime soundscape of musical harmony between East and West.
Kirtan has its roots in the sacred music of ancient India. It is growing rapidly in popularity in the West with the rise of yoga in American culture. The music carries the audience through a journey of etheric beauty, ecstatic percussion, and singing with the devotion of the heart. It is a celebration of life, love, and the beauty of the human spirit. The audience is invited to participate through call-and-response chanting, dance, and meditation.
