Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead

Los Alamos Little Theatre announces its next production, Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead by Bert V. Royal.

The play will run Jan. 13 - 28, with shows Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and a 2 pm matinee on Sunday, Jan. 22.

The play features characters who will be familiar to many audience members, now in high school and dealing with a range of difficult issues, such as rebellion, bullying, drug use, suicide and homophobia. The play opens with the main character dealing with the death of his beloved beagle and follows him as he seeks resolution through interactions with his sister and friends.

Director Ken Milder said, Dog Sees God contains strong language, mature subject matter, dark humor and bold statements of sexuality things commonly overheard in the hallways of high schools everywhere. This is a play that brings to light the real issues that are found in all
high schools.

Audience members will find occasion to laugh within this dark comedy, especially as they learn how the characters have left behind their old idiosyncrasies in unexpected ways.

Cast members are Stuart Rupprecht, Holly Robinson, Jacinta Lestone, Zachary Brounstein, Page Ramsey, Brian Trujillo, Beth Wysocki and Patrick MacDonald.

The LALT production is performed in association with Dramatists Play Service. The play is not suitable for audiences under 16 years of age.
