Ready to heat up the new year? Start off your 2017 with scintillating night in downtown Phoenix courtesy of Spellbound Burlesque. Come see simmering and captivating performers in their newest production Unveiled. If you havent experienced their in the round 360 degree stage seating, then prepare yourself for a steamy start to the the new year. Held at the decadent Club Palazzo in downtown Phoenix, Spellbound Burlesque is bringing another round of amazing performers from burlesque communities across the country.
Ariel Helvetica has been stamping her unique font all over the Vancouver Burlesque scene since her October 2011 solo debut. A born and raised dancer, Ariel spent five years abroad, wowing audiences in France as a professional Can-Can/Showgirl, and then crisscrossing the globe and as a professional high-kicker on cruise ships, visiting 45 countries along the way. Ariels raw sense of creativity and passion soon pulled her towards the hot red lights of burlesque. She is a proud member of Pandora & the Locksmiths--a dynamic collective of professional singers, dancers, striptease artists and musicians. Ariel has performed at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, Southwest Burlesque Showcase in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Edmonton Burlesque Festival, the International Stockholm Burlesque Festival and world renowned New Orleans Burlesque Festival where she competed for the coveted title of Queen of Burlesque in 2015.
Shan de Leers is a Professional Captivator, Bawdy Positivity Educator, and Costumer based out of Nashville, Tennessee. She is half of Nashville's producing team and only Burlesque Finishing School, Delinquent Debutantes, a featured dancer at Nashville's Historic Skull's Rainbow Room, and the brain and hands behind deLeerious Dressings. Shan has taken her shimmies on the road stripteasing and teaching from Jim Thorpe to San Francisco, Atlanta to Seattle, spreading the gospel of grind and sharing her southern charms. She's Music City's Belle with a Bite, The Tennessee Tease, Shan de Leers.
Mayo Lua de Frenchie has been captivating audiences with her magnetic performances across the south and southwest for over 4 years and performing for over 27 years. She makes up one half of the award-winning duo, Candy Sandwich, with dance partner Joy Coy. She is the bourbon-loving, sweet tooth curing, enchantress of New Mexico and she brings all of her prowess, empowerment, and charm to every audience she meets.
Finally, Spellbound is excited to bring back the glamorous and witty Nevaeh McKenzie as emcee. Located right here in Phoenix, Nevaeh, aka "Fitfish," is one of Phoenix's premiere female illusionists and will be doubling down on the devilish quick-wit and enthralling beauty as your host for the evening.
