Sequins abound in this one night only musical event that includes songs by Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter and others.
Chuck Marso is a cabaret singer and has also made his mark as a costumer and artist. Chuck appeared with the Culver City Light Opera for a tribute to Rogers and Hammerstein starring John Raitt, Marion Bell and Kathryn Grayson. He performs regularly with Judy Wolmans Sing Sing Sing. He also performed in the cabaret show Life Is A Song. Chuck created the iconic pink swing coat for Bette Midler for her De Tour. He was the costume designer for the production of the stage play The Princes of Kings Road, and has created costumes for numerous TV shows and films. The costumes for this show are the pinnacle of Chuck's wardrobe design.
Stevie Stern is a singer and actress who has performed in theatre, television, commercials and film. Among Stevie's credits are singing on both stage and in movies, acting on stage and screen (TVs General Hospital, The House of Bernada Alba at the Roundabout Theatre in NYC) and in commercials (McDonalds). She is also a writer, having written for TV (Melrose Place) and stage (David Hockneys Couch recently staged at EST/LA). Previously, Stevie starred in two one-woman shows - JEWELL PARKER and KICK ASS MARY.
PUTTIN' ON THE RITZ is produced and directed by Tom Lazarus, award winning film director, screenwriter, playwright, and stage director. Tom is an industry veteran having written and directed movies and television as well as an author, screenwriting teacher and consultant and writer/director for the theater. He wrote and directed the 2015 EST/LA production of THE PRINCES OF KINGS ROAD which had a sold out run in 2015.
Musical director extraordinaire, Gary Nesteruk, adds his musical talents, creating provocative arrangements and virtuoso accompaniment. Pianist/keyboardist Gary Nesteruk has performed as a studio musician on over 100 films, including Murder At 1600 and Spiderman 3, as well as cable and network TV series and movies of the week. Gary has toured as synthesist with pianist Roger Williams and singer Jack Jones.
