Health for Haiti
Haiti is often defined by what it lacks: a stable economy, high employment, solid infrastructure, and access to quality food, clean water, and universal health care. For nearly three decades, Partners In Health has worked to reverse that definition.

Today we are the largest nongovernment health care provider in Haiti, serving an area of 4.5 million people with a staff of more than 5,700. We operate clinics and hospitals at 12 sites across the Central Plateau and the lower Artibonite, two of the country's poorest regions. Among our successes so far, weve recorded more than 1.6 million patient visits, provided educational assistance to 9,400 children, delivered prenatal care to 30,000 pregnant women, and started 1,700 patients on treatment for tuberculosis.

We opened University Hospital in Mirebalais, a 200,000-square foot, 300-bed teaching hospital that offers a level of care never before available at a public facility in Haiti. At a time when the country desperately needs skilled professionals, we are providing high-quality education for the next generation of nurses, medical students, and residents.

This January marks the seven year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti that left over 200,000 people dead, 300,000 people injured and 1.5 million people displaced. Haiti's infrastructure and healthcare system were greatly damaged causing a widespread cholera outbreak that killed more than 10,000 people and sickened at least another 30,000 - an estimated one in three of which are children. Hurricane Matthew recently delivered a second blow to the nation, wiping out most of the country's farmland and destroying key infrastructure investments.

Simply put, Haiti needs our help. Now, more than ever.

Join us on Monday, January 30, 2017, as we come together to raise funds and awareness for our life-saving work in Haiti. Our evening will include a key note address from the Counsel General of Haiti in Chicago, a silent auction, and incredible networking and advocacy opportunities with those who truly believe that basic healthcare is a human right.

Your donation/ticket purchase of $25 per person gets you admission to the event along with some light passed hors d'oeuvres and a beverage.

If you cannot make the event in person, we hope you will consider purchasing a "scholarship" ticket. These tickets will be provided free of charge to local medical, nursing, and public health students interested in the field of global health who might not otherwise be able to attend.

Our life-saving work needs your support. Can we count on you to help us help Haiti?
