A Four-Part Series

The work of increasing our self-awareness and going deep within in order to heal and tap into our own authenticity is vital medicine for the times we live in. Astrology provides a language for engaging these processes in ways that are personally and collectively relevant. Heading into what is sure to be a potent eclipse window in February, 2017, Vajra Workshops is glad to provide an opportunity for learning about how to navigate cosmic weather in empowering ways.
Have you ever wanted to learn about astrology or moon cycles, but found the information available to you to be too heady or inaccessible? In this four part series, local astrologer Amanda Moreno will guide you through everything lunar using lecture, storytelling, experiential exercises and personal narrative writing. The goals of the series will be to:
~Help you understand the cycles of the moon and how these cycles can help you to orient to your experience and empower you to participate in life more fully.
~Demystify and destigmatize emotional cycles, feelings and the irrational
~Examine lunar mythology in terms of the feminine/masculine binary, and then break that down so we can understand the lunar within us all
~Provide information about eclipses and eclipse windows and what to expect from them
~Get you in touch with the moon in your own natal astrological chart and how it represents your security needs, self-expression and areas of emotional focus in your life
~Provide an introduction to basic ritual design and altar creation to prepare you to design and participate in simple and effective personalized New and Full Moon rituals
**You can choose to attend any or all of these classes, but it is recommended that you attend the first session in order to get background preparation for the rituals**
You will need: A copy of your chart (www.astro.com if you don't have one), and a journal for each class. Altar items and candles welcome for rituals. Collage materials like magazines gladly accepted for the Full Moon ritual.
Class Two Friday, January 20: Eclipses
In this class well talk about the nodes of the Moon and their associated myths, eclipse windows and what they mean, why superstition can be helpful and hurtful, what areas of your life might be most affected by the upcoming eclipse season, and how to prepare for, buckle down and celebrate.
