"Seussical the Musical"
Mount Vernon City School District's Arts Magnet School present "Seussical the Musical" at Mount Vernon High School. Productions dates are December 16th at 6:00 PM, 17th at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM; 18th at 3:00 PM. The production is Produced and Directed by Evelyn Collins, Director of Arts & Gifted and Talented Education; Music Director, Alvin Waddles; Stacy Penson, Vocal Director; Choreographer, Monica Johnson,Costumed Designers, Gladys James and Marvin Thurmond; Set Designer, Janet Rush, and Lighting Designer, Antoinette Tynes.
The production features forty-five 6th-8th graders in the cast, and 25 students behind the scenes. Musicians include Alvin Waddles, keyboard; Eli Fountain, drums; Ayedole Maakheru, guitar; Calvin Jones, bass; Anthony Nelson, woodwinds; Normearleasa Thomas, cello; Judith Insell, viola; and Mansa Gory, trumpet.Pit singers include Andrea Thomas, Tanya Mack, and Dionysia Placide.
