Simons and Goodwin at Along the Way Coffeehouse
Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin will preform traditional and contemporary folk, country blues, soft rock and pop. Expect to hear some of Bob Simons' original material as well. The tight harmonies of Simons and Goodwin, backed up by Bob's finger picking makes this an evening no to be missed. See and hear more about them at www.simonsandgoodwin.com
SPECIAL FEATURE: Bob and Renee are donating a two vinyl album set to be offered as a silent auction item at this concert, with the proceeds going to support the historic First Church in Ipswich. Renee was the singing partner of Bill Staines in the group "Bill and Renee" back in the 1960's and the first album in the set, "Bag of Rainbows", a rare and highly sought after collector's item, is from that duo, with John Synott, and is the first album Bill Staines ever recorded. The second album is the fun filled 1976 album, "Bumper Croppe" recorded by Bob, along with Jim King, formerly the duo "The Watkins Marsh Bump Shoppe". It features Steve Wainwright on bass. Both are brand new condition, from the original pressings and have never been played.
