BRUTALESQUE HOLIDAY ONSLAUGHT

The BRUTALESQUE Holiday Onslaught returns to the Rendezvous Jewelbox with a holiday themed heavy-metal burlesque show -- a seasonal travesty of epic proportions, you might say.

"Metal musicians have been recording holiday music since the early 80s," points out Lilith Van Dyke, producer and emcee for BRUTALESQUE. "Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Venom--they all have at least one or two holiday songs under their bullet belts. Some of it is funny, some of it is savage, and some of it is powerfully sincere. And it has only diversified since, with Yule and Hanukkah joining the metal chorus. The BRUTALESQUE Holiday Onslaught couples this music with the sexy irreverence of burlesque, to destroy your preconceptions of what a holiday show is like. By the time the last stitch has fallen, you'll think Christmas came early!"

The Holiday Onslaught features the talents of Miss Violet DeVille, Cherry Tart, Ruby Darling, Candy Apples, Precious Metal, Betty Fish, Chaos X. Machina, and Rian Ryn. Together they bring their saucy wishes of holiday cheer to the Rendezvous Jewelbox Theater (2322 2nd Avenue) on Friday, December 23. Show times are at 7 pm and 10 pm, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to showtimes.
