Ole for Hollywood
On December 9th & 10th,  Cougar Theatre f Hawthorne High School  will present Ole for Hollywood!  Written by the nations premier Latino improve group, Latins Anonymous, Ole for Hollywood!  is a searing social satire and hilarious cultural commentary on the contemporary American-Latino experience in the guise of an irreverent, over-the-top, Tinsel-Town awards show.  L.A. critics christened Ole for Hollywood!  a comedic bulls-eye and Edward James Olmos called the play "a scathing indictment of the Latino's ever-precarious relationship with Hollywood."


Directed by Estella Church and featuring a talented ensemble Cougar Theatres  most talented thespians,  this smart spoof offers a fertile launching pad for educators, students, and community members to begin dialogues about a variety of subjects and current events, including: immigration, the Latino electorate, Spanglish, civil unrest, racism, border militias, Donald Trump, Latina body-image and the medias stereotyping of minorities.
