"Someone is running a tougher race than you right now." Dr. Steve Isenberg Founder, Medals4Mettle
Medals4Mettle (M4M) is a non-profit organization that facilitates the gifting of marathon, half marathon, and triathlon finishers medals. Runners from around the world give their hard earned medals to Medals4Mettle. Our worldwide network of physicians and volunteers then awards these medals attached to a Medals4Mettle ribbon to children and adults fighting debilitating illnesses who might not be able to run a race, but are in a race of their own just to continue to live their life. It is in honor of this mettle and courage in bravely facing these challenges that they are awarded a medal.
Thanks to you, and other Medals4Mettle donors, over 50,000 people around the world have received the special experience of a Medals4Mettle award. These medal recipients, both children and adults, were recognized for the difficult race they are running in most cases, to survive. On behalf of all of them, we thank you for your generous support in encouraging their lives and valuing their dignity.
One recent story is from a couple in St. Paul, Minnesota: My wife and I have completed so many races and treasure our medals. But when we heard about an organization that puts them to such awesome use, we feel we will treasure them even more.
Every day, your support makes stories like this possible.
Today, were launching our 2016 Year-End Campaign with three specific objectives for next year:
1) Launch a new website - Ten years ago, when we built our current site, we had awarded 1,000 medals and had 1,000 stories to tell. Today, weve awarded over 50,000 medals and have just that many stories to tell. We need a new website to help us reach people and spread the Medals4Mettle message and get more people involved. 2) Invest in communication tools Telling the Medals4Mettle story goes far beyond just a website. We currently manage more than 60 chapters in four countries and need software systems to help manage those chapters, connect with donors and touch more lives.
3) Provide resources to Medals4Mettle chapters Our volunteer chapter leaders give a great deal of time to support our organization, and we want to provide these volunteers with the tools they need to impact their communities and increase the number of medal recipients.
Our goal for this campaign is to raise $30,000 by December 31st. If we raise that amount, well have the funds to tell our story through a new website, invest in communication tools and resource Medals4Mettle chapters like never before. {First Name}, we need your help to make it happen.
Would you be willing to help tell the Medals4Mettle story and spread its message by making a special year-end donation of $500, $250, $100 or whatever amount works for you? We simply cant do it without you. Your contribution will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of the medal recipients who are running a tougher race than you right now.
Please, click here to make your donation now. Through Medals4Mettle, you can make a difference in someone's life today.
Once again, thank you for your continued friendship and support for all that Medals4Mettle means to the worldwide community.
