Celebrate Music! Shira and Nancy Curtin
An eclectic mix of global songs embracing Christmas and Jewish traditions, as well as jazz and Brazilian favorites. This special concert will feature talent from United by Music, a performance-based program for musically gifted people with developmental challenges. Partial proceeds from the concert will go to this wonderful organization.
Stand-out vocalist Shira was the featured singer with Norman Leyden and the Oregon Symphony for 13 years. She continues her career with crowd-pleasing performance of American jazz standards.
Local favorite Nancy Curtin will present her well-loved songs from Brazil, as well as folk inspired Christmas classics.
Accompanying musicians include Emmy award winning pianist Vince Frates, stellar bassist Kevin Deitz, and superb drummer Kurt Deutscher.
